About Us

Diane Bauer, LCSW
 EMDR Certified

Diane Bauer, LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), was born and raised in Homestead, PA. She earned both her Bachelor’s and Master's Degrees in Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh, earning highest honors and graduating Magna Cum Laude.  For the past 16 years, Diane has worked in several areas of mental health with children, families, and adults. Since her start in mental health with adults with drug and alcohol issues, Diane has worked in group homes, independent living agencies, and a community mental health center as a therapist. Over the years she has developed influential relationships and honed her therapeutic skills with children, families, and couples. Diane has facilitated extensive groups with children and teenagers. 


Diane specializes in working with those suffering from anxiety, depression, grief, relationship issues, trauma and mood disorders. She also has a strong background in working with children and parents of children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD). 

Diane’s beliefs lie in the core values and ethics of social work, including dignity and worth of the person, importance of human relationships, integrity, competence, and service. Diane views her primary responsibility as to promote the well-being of her clients and to respect and promote their rights  to self determination. Her training is in both the Family Systems model as well as in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She is committed to on-going  continuing education and training so that she can offer best practice solutions to her clients.
